Anne Hathaway Breaks Off Relationship To Save Career
After a four year relationship, actress Anne Hathaway has ended it with Raffaello Follieri.
According to the Mail Online, the 25-year-old star of “The Devil Wears Prada” broke off the relationship over the week, following money scandals linked to Follieri.
The site reports that last week, his charity Follieri Foundation, which funded vaccination programs in developing countries, was being investigated by the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
A source said that Hathaway did not want to break it off, but his business scandals were hurting her reputation and possibly her career.
“It’s heartbreaking for her to dump him,” said the source, “and she’s devastated that it’s come to this, but she really didn’t have a choice. His scandals were hurting her reputation.”
Follieri was also sued by a former business associate for bouncing a $215,000 check. Criminal charges against Follieri were dropped after he turned himself into police and settled the outstanding bill.
When the choice came for Anne to choose love or her career … she choice her career. How romantic.
