Christina Applegate Beats Breast Cancer After Double Mastectomy
Christina Applegate is officially free of cancer, but only after undergoing a double mastectomy to remove both breasts to combat the disease.

As previously reported, Applegate was battling breast cancer, but doctors were able to catch it early.
She revealed the good news during an interview with “Good Morning America” tape on Monday (August 18).
“I’m clear,” she said. “Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I’m definitely not going to die from breast cancer.”
Despite the relieving news of beating cancer, the removal of her breasts is still hard, she admitted.
“Sometimes, you know, I cry,” Applegate said. “And sometimes I scream. And I get really angry. And I get really upset, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes. And I think it’s all part of the healing.”

Christina Applegate Battling Breast Cancer

It was revealed over the weekend that Christina Applegate has breast cancer and is undergoing treatment for the disease. The good news is that it was caught early and she is expected to fully recover.
The 36-year-old’s cancer was detected through an MRI ordered by a doctor and is not life-threatening, publicist Ame Van Iden said in a statement Saturday (August 2).

Bernie Mac Hospitalized With Pneumonia
Comedian Bernie Mac was hospitalized for pneumonia in Chicago recently, but everything is ok, and he is expected to be released soon.

According to reports, the 50-year-old comedian/actor suffered from sarcoidosis, a tissue inflammation, but his publicist Danica Smith said in a statement that his illness has been in remission since 2005 and the bout of pneumonia is unrelated.
“Mr. Mac is responding well to treatment and will be released soon,” Smith said in a statement. “He asked that his privacy and that of his family is respected while he gets well.”
Bernie’s wife, Rhonda McCullough, has been by his side at the hospital since he was admitted.
“He’s doing great and hopes to get out soon,” Smith told the Chicago Sun-Times. “He’s Bernie — he’s one of the best guys you’ll meet.”
Amy Winehouse & Kelsey Grammer Hospitalized
Amy Winehouse has once again managed to put herself into the hospital. The troubled singer was rushed to a London hospital Monday night (July 28) after suffering an adverse reaction to medication, reports E!.
“Please be advised that Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to the hospital,” the singer’s rep, Tracey Miller, said. “Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow.”
Her health has been an issue over the past year. Despite past reports of her coming down with emphysema, Mitch Winehouse says its only early stages, and she should be fine if she stops smoking.
“Obviously, if she doesn’t quit smoking, it’s going to get worse, like everyone else…with patience, her lungs will recover completely,” Mitch Winehouse told BBC Radio 1. “With no more inhalation of smoke of any kind, she’s going to be absolutely fine.”
In some other bad news, “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer was hospitalized on Monday as well, just a little more than a month after suffering a heart attack. Reports say he was feeling faint, and he is expected to stay in the hospital overnight.
Patrick Swayze Says He’s The ‘Miracle Dude’
Actor Patrick Swayze is back and in good spirits after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in March.

The 55-year-old actor strolled through LAX on Sunday (July 20) and seemed very healthy, giving paps the thumbs up when asked about hsi health.
“I’m a miracle dude, I don’t know why,” he said.
It’s good to see him doing ok. He’s set to work on a new A&E drama, “The Beast,” soon.
Amy Winehouse Has Emphysema

It’s official. British singer, Amy Winehouse, has lung damage from her prolonged use of crack cocaine and cigarettes.
According to what the singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse, told the Sunday Mirror, Winehouse has early stage emphysema. She’s been warned that she will have to wear an oxygen mask unless she stops smoking drugs.
The news comes after Winehouse collapsed last week in her north London home, and was rushed to the hospital in London.
She has since remained under observation.

Amy Winehouse Hospitalized After Fainting At Home

So over the weekend, Amy Winehouse reportedly fainted, and has been hospitalized.
To quote the late Rick James, “Cocaine is one helluva drug.”
Her rep tells Us Magazine, “Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted. Fortunately, her manager’s assistant was there to stop her falling. She quickly recovered and her father Mitch took her to hospital as a precaution. Doctors are unsure of the cause of the incident and Amy is currently undergoing tests.”
She’s gonna be kept overnight for “observation,” her rep continued.

Kelsey Grammer Suffers Mild Heart Attack

“Frasier” star, Kelsey Grammer, suffered a heart attack over the weekend while in Hawaii, according to a report from Star.
The health scare was a mild one, said his rep, which took place Saturday morning (May 31) while they were at their Hawaiian home.
The 53-year-old actor was admitted to the Kona Community hospital where he was treated. A source said he was then airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in Honolulu.
He is currently “doing fine” said his rep, and is expected to be sent home Tuesday (June 3).
