As previously reported, actor Bill Murray was planning to parachute from a plane as part of a special appearance at the 50th Chicago Air and Water Show this month.

Cheech & Chong Reunite For Comedy Tour
Pot head comedians, Cheech and Chong, recently announced that the duo will reunited for their first comedy tour in more than 25 years.
Cheech told the Associated Press that he and Chong “looked at each other going, ‘If we’re ever going to do something it has to be now because you’re not getting any younger and neither am I.’”
The duo, who broke up amid creative differences, have tried to reunite before, but have always fought too much. Marin laughed and said: “It takes about three minutes for that to happen. There’s this veiled hatred.” But he added: “We’ve kind of resolved that.”
“We’ve gotten to the age where we don’t feel like fighting anymore because the end is a lot closer than the beginning,” he said.

Former “90210″ star, Shannen Doherty, recently went into the Sheriff’s Department in Lost Hills (Malibu), according to TMZ, to complain about paparazzi following her. This is fine and dandy, but apparently, the cops who talked to her had no idea who she was and why photogs were following her.
The cop at the front desk admitted to her he didn’t know who she was, to which Shannen said she was on TV. He then asked others in the office if anyone knew who she was … but … no one did.
This “90210″ remake is coming just in time for her, isn’t it?
Bill Murray Set To Sky Dive In August
Actor Bill Murray is planning to parachute from a plane as part of a special appearance at the Chicago Air and Water Show next month, reports the AP.
He’s jumped on behalf of USO of Illinois, and it will be a tandem jump with the Golden Knights skydiving team onto North Avenue Beach on August 15th.
Murray is 57 years old. Should he really be doing this?
J.Lo Planning For Triathlon This October
J.Lo trying to get back in shape? Marc Anthony recently told Extra that his big booty wife, Jennifer Lopez, is training to compete in a triathalon this October.
Lopez’s training program is said to consist of running, biking and swimming. While J.Lo is getting back into shape, Anthony says he’ll stay out of it, watching from the sidelines.
“I’m very supportive. I’ll be on my Segway (encouraging her),” he said.
Yes, Anthony is rail thin as it is. He probably should eat a little more.
New iPhone Sells Like Hot Cakes, 1 Million Sold In Three Days
The new iPhone is officially the hottest thing since sliced bread.
After releasing its latest model on Friday (July 11), Apple boast 1 million of their phones sold in just three days.
“IPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s chief executive, in a statement.
Despite the staggering numbers, it was bittersweet because users were plagued by software problems. All the new iPhones had to connect to Apple’s servers for activation, which quickly overloaded them. Lines filled stores as employees were unable to get the phones working.
Additionally, new software was released for the old iPhone, which required reactivation of those phones. Many owners of the older phone were left with unusable units.
Over 6 million units of the first-model iPhone have been sold since it launched in the U.S. a year ago. The company is eyeing a goal of 10 million sold by the end of 2008.
Miss Venezuela Takes The Miss Universe Crown
The Miss Universe 2008 crown was given away on Monday (July 14) in Nha Trang, Vietnam, and Miss Venezuela was the victor, after Miss USA (this year, Crystle Stewart) tripped on stage during the evening gown competition for the second year in a row.
Miss Universe is Dayana Mendoza, and she’s only 22.
Jerry Springer and Mel B announced Mendoza as the 57th crowned beauty queen. In some shocking news, just 18 months ago she was the victim of a kidnapping in her home country. But now, with the new title under her belt, she says she plans to spend her reign as Miss Universe speaking out on humanitarian issues.
“I want to raise my voice and tell the world that violence is not the answer,” she said.

This is just too funny. I guess the Kardashian’s aren’t that loved in their hometown of Calabasas, California.

Bill Gates ‘Retires’ From Microsoft
After 33 years at the company he founded in 1975 and billions of dollars later, Bill Gates “retires” from his full-time post at Microsoft at the age of 52. The one-time world’s richest man gathered with 800 or so employees for a farewell speech, reminiscing and tearing up about the good ole days at Harvard with longtime friend and CEO Steve Ballmer.
During his speech, Gates talked about starting the software giant, the business’ growth, and how much of a change it’s going to be for him to ot come into the office every day.
“For me, this will be a big change. For 33 years, I’ve essentially had the same job,” he said. “Some days, I’m so used to coming in to Microsoft. Even if I have the kids in the car and I am supposed to take them to school, I forget and if I start thinking about work a little bit, I start driving toward Microsoft. They say to me, ‘Dad, what are we going to do at Microsoft?’ So I get back on course.”
To end the Microsoft gathering, Ballmer thanks Gates, as they booth began to shed tears. “We’ve been given an enormous, enormous opportunity. And Bill gave us that opportunity,” Ballmer said, his face reddening. “I want to thank Bill for that.” Employees then rose to their feet, Gates swiped at tears of his own.
